Unlikely Alibi just released their first album for legendary Stubborn Records. Produced by King Django, this album has all the blood, sweet, and tears to show for it. Almost 4 years in the making and every force in the universe trying to stop it from happening.
Updating the sound of the 70s London streets that helped inspire The Police, Elvis Costello, and The Clash, Unlikely Alibi looks to bring a change of direction into todays music scene. With searing guitars and screamy-singy vocals predominating todays mainstream rock, and a new genre name popping up everyday, Unlikely Alibi simply gives you organ and guitar driven power pop with a twist of reggae. Piecing together parts of Indianas hardest working, and most popular bands the members collectively have sold thousands of CDs, and played hundreds of shows through-out the United States. Their proven on-stage experience has given the members the opportunity to open up for artists such as Ben Folds, The Foo Fighters, Eve 6, Train, and The Urge. Also, ska greats The Skatalites, The Slackers, and King Django. That is the pedigree from which this band comes, and the benchmark they intend to surpass.
MOJO DUB
This will be their debut Brass Rail performance. That sounds hard to believe with the amount of times Joe has been on stage in this place but it is true. Mojo Dub represents a blending of many styles and influences that combine to create a truly unique and energetic experience. “A perfect blend of roots and funk, with an intersting twist on fusion”.
