About The Elixirs

Read Fast, Kids: Here it is, The Low Down. The Skinny. The Walk Thru. Showing You The Ropes, some hi-faulting mother F-Bombers identify it as “Band Bio.” Yeah, that’s right, you know the ones I’m talk’n ‘bout… Absurd pretenders, dreamers, schemers…you and I and us and them, liars, frauds, false saviors, squalor breeders, delighters of evil, children of the worm, born out of an arrogant pride and totally unjustifiable. Can I get an Amen, Brothers and Sisters ? ?? Welcome to our profile. Before we get started, I would like to take a moment to join the late comedian Bill Hicks, as well as the multi-talented Lee Ving, among many other prestigious ass holes, entertainers and philosophers, in saying that if YOU are in the business of marketing and advertising, Go Die!! Stop bugging the band to be anything more than they are at the present. They are a hobby band. They all have lives outside of playing their instruments. They do what they do because it makes them happy. They don’t do what they do to make you happy and if you don’t like that, that’s fine too. They are but poor, Hoosier folk, just trying to survive and put “food on the family” during these crazy, uncertain times we all live in. And this here little ole redneck, punk rock trio is their way of havin’ fun, lettin’ their hair down, blowin’ off steam, and kickin’ back at whoever needs kicked back. It’s their escape from the doldrums of these, the waning days of Babylon. No, they don’t have the resources to spend on “proper” studio time, fancy CD packaging, high dollar online promotional campaign stunts and so forth. (Send your generous contribution to: Poor Is The New Rich / P.O. Box 3 / Gas City, IN 46933) In the past they have relied heavily upon the good graces of their friends for much of their recordings. Without these kind folk, you would not be able to hear their filthy music today. And without the well intentioned help of friends from all over the state of Indiana, those of you living in this neck of the woods would not be able to see them live. So you see, it’s not the bands fault but those warm hearted do-gooder friends of theirs! Hang ‘em high!! Hang ‘em all!!! Listen here, I wrote this little ditty to explain the Elixirs…It’s pure poetry and Heaven sent too: Some people were born to the nightlife for play, while others were destined to toil and hard work. Some people were born to laugh and to love while the Elixirs, well, they were born to be Jerks! Their most humble gratitude goes out to all of their family, friends, fans and former band mates…

Forgotten 27 was started by Sly Eugene and T-Money formally of the street punk band The Displeased.Sly and T-Money hooked up with good friends Chuck, Serj & Holden to write some songs, and work on some demos. The chemistry was most definitely there, when the five of us got together.

Forgotten 27 is a Rock n Roll band in the simplest form we write songs we feel and that are real. Our songs are story telling songs we write about where we’ve been, our travels, where were going, what we’ve been through and how we feel about the world and how we feel about others.

Forgotten 27 is going into the studio in May to record our debut full length album “…Another Dead End Town” We will also be releasing an all acoustic album of some of the songs on the full length. Both albums will be released sometime in June.
