About Highlonesome
Few bands actually capture the true emotion that fuels them to create music. Highlonesome of Milwaukee WI, An Americana effort, pooling together multiple “Roots Music” stylings has recently raised the bar, Thier newest release “In life we can’t be free” clearly captures the darkness and pain of frontman and songwriter Noah Tyson. The album is soaked in misery, lost love & dealings with death. These boys really have something with this album, it’s refreshing! In an age where just about about every style of music has been beaten to death, they have given “Roots Music Fans” a breath of fresh air with the new album. Noah Tyson, lifetime resident of the Brew City, created Highlonesome in 2006 with a handful of local Punk & Hardcore Musicians. Tysons vocals are dark and haunting, almost ghostly. His songs are believable and original, they keep you listening. His music is honest, brilliant & sometimes complex, but it fits the songs like a glove. They have been performing live locally in Milwaukee ever since and made the trek to Montana in 2008 for the 2nd year of the Murder In The Mountains Music Festival & Film Documentary. With a revolving cast of members since the bands conception it seems Highlonesome has finally found the folks who are going to push it forward in the intended manner. The most recent addtition to the band is Joe Huber, a talented musician, songwriter & artist from Milwaukee WI. who has lent his fiddle, banjo & accoustic guitar playing abilities on the new album. Huber is an official member of Highlonesome as well as MIlwaukee’s The .357 String Band. Currently Highlonesome is self produced and only distributed through a handfull of independant record stores and online. It seems very realistic though for a small band to produce and release thier own material these days. Fans of bands like this put in legwork to find them and generally help pass on the good word when they do. Noah Tyson will be collaborating his solo efforts in the very near future with Farmagedon Records, a new “Roots Music Label” on his solo project. Farmageddon is a small label with the artist in mind and a passion for recording the music the way the artist sees it. You can find them up online atwww.farmageddonrecords.com The future for Highlonesome and Noah Tyson are definatley bright despite the darkness that helped create it!
