About Andy D
Andy D fancies himself the anachronistic love child of Punky Brewster and Lee Van Cleef – the perfect amalgam of a fictional rogue and a real-life badass. He plays music this like he lives life and it sounds like Andrew WK meets Grand Master Melle Mel or Like Prince if he couldn’t sing that well and if he weren’t a hyper-talented multi-instrumentalist. This is what his music is all about: part epicurean hip-hop-dance songs and part sincere dance rock songs, being eclectic and catchy is the only goal. “God Loves Drunk Chicks” is a infectious dance ditty lamenting date rape culture and “Just Push Play” is a witty indictment of “the next big thing” trend in the music industry and pop culture in general (both tracks are from the debut album Choose Your Perversion). This is rap but not hip-hop. It rocks but it’s not rap-rock. These songs are meaningful party songs but maximized! Andy D bends the genres but his influences are pretty apparent. And people take notice where ever he goes. From rapping about having sex with Werewolves to singing about knife fights in a roller rink, no subject is taboo in an Andy D song; and he gets raunchy with it. Half of the fun of Andy D is hearing what he will say next… the other half is dancing. Welcome to your new addiction!

About Casket Sharp
Formed in Fort Wayne, IN around 2006. With intentions of starting a band that sounds like Afghan Whigs to Otis Redding. Even though its been a slow start getting the band moving, Casket Sharp got a brake when Hardlight Records owner Scot Gallop heard some demos. Scot got the band down to Bloomington, IN to record a 5 song EP. With the help of Murder By Deaths, Matt Armstrong on bass and drumming form Travis Sheets and Greg Simpson, things started moving forward.

About Wooden Satellites
Wooden Satellites is an independent band in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

C. Ray writes the songs. Andrea helps him sing the songs. Andy Plays Guitar and Eric Plays the Drums.

The name Wooden Satellites was cast off by another musician who wasn’t going to use it so we took it.

In the Summer of 2008, C. Ray got very serious about finishing an album, so he spent most of August recording a debut, “Why Can’t I Be Enough.” The lyrical content of the album deals mainly with intensely self-involved themes like never measuring up, always missing the point, and rarely getting what you want. Musically it meshes classic pop songwriting with heavy rhythms, retro-synthesizers, and acoustic guitars.

A band was assembled. The recently released ‘Exit EP’ is available for a limited time at live performances. You can hear the album here on myspace and it will be available for download in the weeks to come.

About The Most Beautiful Losers
Loud and sweaty. Quiet and hoarse. Just as bands like The Replacements and Uncle Tupelo did, The Most Beautiful Losers play for the people. They love the dark. They like the dirge. They ride that razors edge between falling apart and blowing your mind. It’s as simple as that. They write genuine heart on your sleeve blue-collar songs for over educated slackers. With a live show that is nothing short of passionate, this band refuses to lay down and die. Come out and lose your mind. Come out and buy them a beer. Come out and sing until you are coughing up blood. They will be.

About J.B. Beverley & The Wayward Drifters
Have you ever wondered what happened to REAL country music? Sadly, it has been pushed into the underground by the image-consumed, money-making monster of the corporate music industry. These days, only a few brave souls dare to make the kind of authentic country music that honors American heritage and culture; rooted in the influence of Jimmie Rodgers, Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, and the other all-but-forgotten legends of the genre. Genuine country music reflects real life, and not the latest fashion trends. One of the strongest and most charismatic forces in the real country music arena is J.B. Beverley & The Wayward Drifters.

Originally formed in December 1998, J.B. Beverley and the Wayward Drifters have steadily made a name for themselves in the U.S. and around the world. A “retired” hobo, Beverley took his experiences from the road, the trains, and everyday American people he encounters, and molded those experiences into some of the most heartfelt, real-deal country music to see the light of day in a long time. With driving acoustic rhythm guitar, slamming upright bass slapping, amazing banjo rolls, and other blistering accompaniment, Beverley and his “high lonesome” voice have earned a solid reputation for their live shows.

J.B. Beverley and his Wayward Drifters’ endless life on the road is studded with highlights, including a 7 week tour with Hank Williams III and shows with contemporary greats like Wayne “The Train” Hancock, Dale Watson and Lee Rocker. They have been joined on stage by legendary Commander Cody guitar picker Bill Kirchen, and other friends in the music community. The band also has made fans out of the likes of John Carter Cash, Slim Jim Phantom of the Stray Cats, Bruce Springsteen, and Piedmont Blues great Warner Williams.

Click here to view the embedded video.

J.B. Beverley & The Wayward Drifters have been featured on several radio and TV programs, including the MHZ Network’s “Spotlight”, Austin’s Capzeyes TV, and radio shows like Colorado’s KRFC “Live at Lunch, and Knoxville’s WDVX FM. The band has released two heavily-circulated demos, and a full-length studio CD entitled “Dark Bar & A Jukebox” (Helltrain Records). The band toured relentlessly for over two years in support of “Dark Bar”, and also wound up the subject of an upcoming documentary road film by Wayward Souls Productions out of New Mexico.

In 2008, J.B. opened Rebel Roots Studio in Richmond, VA to record and produce “Watch America Roll By”, the band’s sophomore effort. Described as “an organic road record that may as well have soil falling off it’s roots”, the new CD is stirring up quite the buzz amongst Wayward Drifters fans and roots-music enthusiasts alike.

“Log Jam

Songs of filth and vomiting on chicks. Now that’s entertainment…

Words: Andy Capper

Bob Log III is to the blues what cannibal Issei Sagawa is to cookery. A 32 year-old Arizonan one-man-band who invented the art of tit clapping (more about that later), Bob sings his songs through a telephone receiver glued inside a motorcycle helmet. With X-rated cities like “Big Ass Hard On” and “Wag Your Tail Like A Dog In The Back Of A Truck: his records are being rung by aheavy breathing pervert in the middle of the night andphone-raped by the blues. Recently, he toured the UK with Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and got to meet a lot of girls by asking them to sit on his knee while he played his hit “I Want Your Shit On My Leg”. How did you develop your unique aesthetic?

I was in a band called Doo-Rag when I lost my drummer and had about eight hours to figure out what to do, so I decided to play drums with my feet. My legs are huge now. Sometimes I can get a girl on each knee and bounce ‘em along. I didn’t get too many girls to sit on me in England but I’d like to remedy that situation when I come back.

Maybe they were scared of your helmet…

There ain’t nothin’ really scary. I can’t really touch you or anything, my hands are full of guitars. The song’s only two minutes long. I’ll give you back.

When did you decide to wear the helmet?

It was in the car on the way to a show, the first time I was playing by myself. It seemed to work out all right. It must get quite hot and sweaty in there… It does but I’m from Arizona so by the time I’ve reached song three I feel like I’m home.

Click here to view the embedded video.

Do you ever take it off on stage?

No, I can lift it up a bit if I throw up or something.

Have you ever thrown up inside the helmet?

Not so that it landed in the helmet. I’ve got a hole for it to come out of. It doesn’t happen that often. It only happens when I get a really fat girl on my knee and I try to play that song twice as fast as I normally do. It’s like running with a backpack full of rocks.

Do you get more fat or thin girls?

It’s about half and half. But when you’ve done it for a week in a row… If it’s the first night of the tour and it’s a fat girl I might be in trouble. That’s when the bad things happen.

Are you really ugly?

I’ve never been told that. My face has nothing to do with the music, I’d much rather people pay attention to my guitar playing.

I’ve got a press release that says you lost your left hand in a boating incident and that you had it replaced with a monkey’s paw. Is that true?

No, I’ve got all my limbs. It’s just that when I’m playing my guitar my hand moves so fast it looks like a monkey paw, a hairy paw. My hand moves really fast. Faster than a normal human hand.

How would you describe your music?

I guess you could call it “Poo-party, tit-clapping, techno blues’ but you could put it however you want really.

Kids in the UK are into rock’n'roll and the girls dress like The Strokes. Do you like that look?

Yeah, that’s alright. I like tube tops on thong girls. Butt thongs, I’m into tube tops pretty much right now. That’s how you get me to turn around.
