This bar is 21+, unfortunately that means NO ALL AGES SHOWS.  Until the laws change in the state of Indiana our facility just cannot meet the requirements.

This bar has been in business  for so many years that no one can seem to get a correct answer.  So let’s just say 40 years.  John Commorato Jr and Corey Rader have owned the bar since June 2007.  The Fort Wayne Reader did a nice write up when the ownership change took place.

The bar is open
Monday through Friday of the Week (open all holidays except Christmas)
3PM – 3AM, Saturday Sunday we open at 1PM and close at 3AM

We’ve been lucky enough to have some talented photographers shooting some of our shows.

21+ 24/7 no all ages show because of how our bar is laid out it’s against Indiana State law.

are we going to be able to buy these VIP passes I keep hearing about? I’m down and I am sure others are too!

Not at this time, the VIP passes where created for charity at this time, it is hard to estimate ticket prices, numbers of shows we’ll be having in 2010 but we’ll think about it for the future.

  5. Underground Fort Wayne | Gross Reactions

[...] John Commorato, Jr., co-owner of the Brass Rail, seems to have been somewhere near the center of things at certain times.  If these things can be said to have a center.  In smaller towns or unlikely cities where experimental, underground art starts to flourish, it’s usually due to the efforts of a few like-minded individuals, people who get deeply involved and then try to distance themselves so that others might step up and begin to push.  The hard and heartbreaking thing is that the push usually requires massive community efforts that are way beyond the resources of the individuals.  But it does point out a fascinating movement that’s always here, just beneath the surface, and if we look close enough, we might discover that it was always here, even when Norman Rockwell was painting it.
