Getting booked: please read, then send an email

All booking is conducted through this website. Do not call the bar.
Our most recent calendar is kept on this site so you can easily check for open dates.
Include links to samples of your music and a brief bio.
We book rock’n’roll, hip-hop, garage, punk, country, rockabilly, surf, soul, indie-rock, ska/reggae, metal etc.
We don’t specialize in Top 40 cover bands.
Please do not send unsolicited demos via US Mail.
We have a small hard-working team so we may not be able to get a reply to everyone.

We must have a contact phone # in case we need to reach you.

Promotion

We will help advertise the show to the best of our abilities. If you have posters please mail them to our facility at 1121 Broadway, Fort Wayne IN 46802. Digital copies are also nice for our website.

Bands must not flyer upon any public property (lamp post, utility pole, street signs, etc.) within the city.

Show art

The Brass Rail wouldn’t be here without real people making music and art, so please don’t send AI-generated images or artwork to promote your show. A simple text flyer you made yourself is fine, Canva or otherwise. If you’d like real artwork and don’t know an artist, ask us and we’ll help connect you with one.

Parking

Parking is ample on both streets bordering the bar. But there is no parking lot.

Load-in & door

8 PM is a good time to load in and soundcheck. If you’re going to be later please call or text (260) 267-5303.
Be prepared to “stagger” load-in based on your slot. You may be asked to load out immediately after your set.
All band members & guests must have 21+ ID. If anyone in your band is under 21, you need to let us know when your band is booked.

Sound

Cooperate with our sound person’s instructions at all times. We’ve been doing this for years so we know our room best.

Safety & security

Never put our patrons or staff in harm’s way (smashing bottles, swinging mic stands, using pyrotechnics, etc).

Getting paid

The booker or doorman will cash you out at the end of the show.
