Glitter Trash is a classic Detroit Punk band originating from the streets of Motown’s infamously collapsed industrial city. The band brings the audience hard driving rock and punk reminiscent of their Motor City roots in bands like The Stooges and The MC5, New York’s late 1970’s CBGB’s scene mixed with London’s glam and punk sound. Glitter Trash has a wild, outrageous and spontaneous live show, often drawing a wide range of comparisons from the aggressive stage shows of The Dead Boys, The Plasmatics, The Sex Pistols and The New York Dolls combined visually with Bowie, Marc Bolan and 80’s metal. Their stripped down presentation and approach to their songs harken back to simpler times when larger-than-life personalities, great music and energetic shows were the status quo.
The band formed in 2010 and has gained a loyal following all over the globe.
They have toured throughout the USA and released their first critically acclaimed album, “Wreckage”, in 2011. A majority of their albums have been sold into the UK and Europe.
Gender bending Jenna Talia fronts the band and rips across the stage and through the crowd like an F5 tornado. Jenna draws comparisons to Wendy O., Stiv Bators and Iggy Pop with her outrageous antics and charisma. Wrapped in motorcycle leather or “barely there” clothing, Jenna pushes the boundaries of music and sexuality. Glitter Trash is Jenna’s first music project, being self taught.
Craig Cashew Poisson is Glitter Trash’s drummer, unleashing unrelenting activity and chaos to the backstage. A seasoned touring musician, Craig spend 1993 thru 2004 playing with Detroit’s notorious glam rockers Thee Trash Brats. He brings a wealth of knowledge to the stage and an aggressive style that fits the band immaculately.
SinDerElla’s flashy glam punk style brings all eyes onto the wild and bizarre looking Sin as soon as she steps foot onstage. Having been in multiple Detroit punk and rock projects, Sin most recently played with “Madhouse”, “Vic Wayne, Sacred Realm and Coupe Savage” and is also lead in Detroit based vampire rock operas plus multiple large budget movies being filmed in Detroit, including Sigourney Weaver’s forthcoming “Vamps” and Drew Barrymore’s “Whip It”. Many have seen Sin on Youtube as a Kid Rock correspondent. She has been in Glitter Trash since February 2010.
Scoff, Glitter Trash’s guitar player, is a veteran of Detroit’s 1980’s hardcore scene and played with Forced Anger and Mount Tai. He brings a retro sound and style reminiscent of the 1970’s with vintage Gipson guitars and Marshall amps. Often politically outspoken, Scoff joined Glitter Trash in the fall of 2011.
