Heaven’s Gateway Drugs – Easily one of the best bands Ft Wayne has ever seen. From their excellent songs to their fantastic live performances, it’s no wonder why they are a favorite here.
Heaven’s Gateway Drugs is a psychedelic band hailing from Fort Wayne, Indiana, a city known for churches and strip clubs. Despite being born in a location that couldn’t be farther from a psychedelic epicenter, Heaven’s Gateway Drugs creates a combination of freakbeat, west coast psych, eastern drone and the pop hooks of alternative’s fallen heroes.
This description only addresses part of the psychedelic experience that is Heaven’s Gateway Drugs. It flows outward through liquid light projection, burning incense, and the inclusive mantra “You are Heaven’s Gateway Drugs.”
Members include C. Ray Harvey and Derek Mauger on guitar and vocals, Josh Elias on bass, Eric Frank on drums, the shamanistic Ben Carr on percussion, and Doctor Robert’s Ocular Odyssey. And you.
